END OF DAY 1 We told you that it is a beautiful day. It became a more beautiful day after today’s practice race. Many people sailed of with great smile on their faces. The speeds where high and the competition was tough. Many of the sailors prepared real well today and it took them a long time to go for it. The practice race was spectacular. During the afternoon many sails on the horizon while the VIPs and sponsors came to the beach. Happy sailors met each other in the tent for the opening ceremony. After a few speeches the proud people from the City counsel of Rotterdam and Hoek van Holland hoisted the official F18 Flag. Things are looking good for tomorrow with the same kind of good sailing weather coming up. Today 135 sailing teams where registered to start for tomorrows first race at 11.00 AM.
